A lot of stand-up comedians these days are all about self-deprecation and low-key personas -- Chris Porter isn't one of them. Best known as a finalist in season four of Last Comic Standing, Porter owns the stage with a kind of righteous sarcasm that comes off like a refreshing throwback to stand-up's golden age while still maintaining his own unique personality. Whether he's railing against the dishonesty of makeup, or defending the honesty of Taco Bell, Porter calls it like he sees it, with a manic energy, a gift for language and maybe even a puppet or two. He's had his own Comedy Central special and appeared all over late-night TV. Catch Porter when he hits the stage at the Brea Improv.
