Italian King of Comedy, Rocky LaPorte, at Brea Improv

One of the Italian Kings of Comedy, Rocky LaPorte was an interstate truck driver and a Golden Gloves boxer before getting into comedy. He also claims to have been an opera singer, pro baseball player, mountain climber and country singer, but those claims are a little dubious. He's definitely appeared on "Last Comic Standing", "The Godfathers of Comedy" and "Comedy Central Presents". When actor/comedian Tim Allen saw him on "The Tonight Show", he called LaPorte his "favorite new comic" and signed him to appear in his movie "The Shaggy Dog".
